| Milestones · August 2006 A world wide prayer request for a faithful suffering from a spreading breast cancer was launched
· September 2006 A retreat was organized for the faithful to discern their call to serve; be it with the poor, the homeless, the sick, the imprisoned…(Mt. 25)
· October 2006 A board of members who overseas the overall activities of the service was formed
· November 2006 The office was officially inaugurated by His Eminence Abune Berhaneyesus Souraphiel CM, the Metropolitan Archbishop
· 2006 - 2007 Construction of wheelchair access ramps at every church in the capital city
· April 2007 Day of the Sick was celebrated for the first time in the country at Holy Savior Church
· November 2007 The Multimedia lending library for people with special needs, their care providers and their chaplains was inaugurated by His Eminence Abune Berhaneyesus. A tree seedling was planted the same day by His Eminence to mark the growing awareness of laity ministries.
· December 2007 Activities started to upgrade the lending library to a resource centre equipped with broadband network to serve people with special needs (like the blind) gets assistance.
· March 2008 Jubilee of the Sick, the Aged and the Disabled was celbrated at Nativity Cathedral with High Solm Eucharistic Celebration followed by a one weel art exhibition by the Disabled.
· April 2008 Visit by Faith & Light Greece and Lebenon
