Meri Kokeb Pastoral Care for the Sick, the Aged and the Disabled Addis Abeba, Ethiopia
| Today, on BVM annual feast day a new church building was consecrated by His Grace Abune BerhaneYesus in the same compound where the Lazarist missionaries established themselves ninety years ago. The two hours long consecration procession was spiritually fulfilling as well breath-taking. Appropriate scriptures readings, prayers offerings and canticles were chanted at the four sides of the Church. While His Grace was anointing the wall with prism oil and sprinkled holy water. Special prayers were being offered at each side of which the first (west side) was for the vulnerable faithful: the sick, the aged and the disabled. Later on during the high solemn holy mass con celebrated by decades of priests, His Grace came a profound homily of which audio copy is found at WYWM MeriKokeb Library
